It all began in 1945, after the liberation of Florence. Renzo Salvadori, fifteen years old, is hired at a small mechanical workshop in the center of Florence. Here the young Renzo learns to operate the lathe and discovers his genius as a fountain pen maker.
Stipula writing instruments are today manufactured in the Florence – Vallina factory, on the banks of the Arno river. Craftsmen, nib masters, modeling artists, miniaturist painters, goldsmiths: all united in a common search for excellence in the fountain pen.
