Description

The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by the famous adventure novel by Jules Verne. The Doué Classique Ballpoint with a gold coated metal cap and degrade anthracite lacquered barrel, draws on the second leg of the journey from Bombay to Yokohama. The main characters travel in this part of the adventure on a majestic elephant, which is featured in a cartouche on the cap. The cap made of gold coated metal features an engraved pattern with Indian, Chinese and Japanese inspirations that symbolizes good luck. The clip features a red lacquered diamond card suit which represents Mr. Fogg’s wager to make the journey in 80 days. The cap top is embossed with the length of the journey, 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days in total.

Montblanc pens need no introduction. They are a real institution in the field of fountain pens. They were born in 1908, in Germany, when August Eberstein and Alfred Nehemias combined creative genius with a flair for business. The early years were quite difficult: the pens then did not have the characteristic clip and the clips were produced separately.
The year that marked the turning point for the German company was 1924, when the famous Meisterstück was born, which not by chance in German means “wonder” and which was immediately a great success.
Montblanc pens today are synonymous with excellence, elegance, perfection. Those who choose a Montblanc do not accept compromises and only want the best for themselves.
