Description

Today’s Duofold, a remake of the legendary pen from the 1920s that made the history of the fountain pen, is made of resin, a material that is undoubtedly more resistant, cheaper and easy to work with, but no less fascinating.
There is conflicting information it seems that Parker Duofold was introduced to the market in 1921 using the remains in stock of red hard rubber by a Parker worker. Even if Parker Duofold immediately found a great success, it did not start life easy because the material used tended to crumble and this had a big impact on the company’s warranty costs. The leap in quality of Parker Duofold is instead attributable to 1926 when the first celluloid Duofolds were placed on the market. Initially the color was always red, but later colors came later.
Duofold is currently one of the most appreciated and distinctive models of the Parker production house.
