Description

United by a single purpose, the National Library of France and OMAS, an Italian company known for building some of the most prestigious writing instruments in the world, have created the Bibliotheque Nationale collection.
The B.N. itself found it interesting and profitable to propose the creation of a writing jewel that would celebrate the name of one of the most complete and comprehensive libraries in the world that would preserve the memory of the future.
In a splendid ivory color, the pen recalls those wonderful parchment writings, the golds and ivories that could be found in the most beautiful pen holders of the 1920s.
The packaging, which reproduces pages and covers of Marcel Proust’s notebooks, poetically completes this beautiful writing instrument. The figurines reproduced on the box on the guarantee are in fact similar to those that adorned the cloth covers of the notebooks where Proust wrote his impressions and preparatory notes for the famous novel In Search of Lost Time.

OMAS writing instruments have always stood out for their exclusive design, devised and created by OMAS entirely in Bologna’s workshop, bringing out the best of the typical characteristics of the Made in Italy style and representing a benchmark of Italian excellence and creativity in the Fountain Pen sector.
Since 1925 all OMAS products have been handcrafted, in Bologna’s workshop. Italian Craftsmanship Lavorazione Artigianale Italiana.
